Canberra is the nation’s capital, while the five largest cities are Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide. Australia’s demography has been shaped by centuries of immigration, with immigrants accounting for the highest proportion of the total population among major Western nations. Immigrants account for 30% of the country’s population, and almost half of Australians have at least one parent born overseas. Australia’s abundant natural resources and well-developed international trade relations are crucial to the country’s economy, which generates its income from various sources including services, mining exports, banking, manufacturing, agriculture and international education.

Proud Mary is an award winning boutique River Boat that travels along the majestic Murray River in South Australia. Proud Mary attracts travellers from both the domestic and international markets. The Proud Mary Boat operates out of Murray Bridge, less than an hour from Adelaide South Australia.
We are currently seeking a customer focused Cruise Hostess/Host to work aboard the Proud Mary on a roster basis of 7 days on 7 days off with an immediate start!
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills and enjoy mixing with people of all ages. They will also be a hard working, responsible, energetic and organised team player who is suited to a lifestyle that involves living on board with time off ashore.
Hospitality experience and/or cleaning experience would be an advantage
Our crew are carefully selected for their presentation, engaging personalities, attention to detail and commitment to delivering the highest standards of service so our passengers always receive a fantastic experience while on board The Proud Mary.
The Role
- Housekeeping of cabins
- Cleaning and general upkeep of boat
- Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner service
- Alcohol and Beverage Service (RSA required)
- Provide our wonderful guests with first class customer service
- Other duties as directed by Captain
