London has the busiest city airport system in the world and the London Underground is the oldest rapid transit system in the world. London is one of the most-visited cities in the world and is home to the most 5-star hotels of any city.
London’s diverse cultures encompass over 300 languages. The mid-2018 population of Greater London of about 9 million made it Europe’s third-most populous city, accounting for 13.4% of the population of the United Kingdom and over 16% of the population of England. Greater London Built-up Area is the fourth-most populous in Europe, after Istanbul, Moscow and Paris, with about 9.8 million inhabitants at the 2011 census.The London metropolitan area is the third-most populous in Europe after Istanbul’s and Moscow’s, with about 14 million inhabitants in 2016, granting London the status of a megacity.
London has four World Heritage Sites: the Tower of London; Kew Gardens; the combined Palace of Westminster, Westminster Abbey, and St Margaret’s Church; and also the historic settlement in Greenwich, where the Royal Observatory, Greenwich defines the Prime Meridian (0° longitude) and Greenwich Mean Time. Other landmarks include Buckingham Palace, the London Eye, Piccadilly Circus, St Paul’s Cathedral, Tower Bridge, and Trafalgar Square. It has many museums, galleries, libraries and cultural venues, including the British Museum, National Gallery, Natural History Museum, Tate Modern, British Library, and numerous West End theatres. Important annual sporting events held in London include the FA Cup Final (held annually at Wembley Stadium), Wimbledon Tennis Championships and London Marathon. In 2012, London became the first city to host three Summer Olympic Games.

Job Description
Here at Ted’s Veg, farming is in our blood. We’ve been farming now for at least four generations and we look forward to farming for generations to come. Now that we also do business with restaurants and other areas of the food world – we need some helping hands to make sure our produce gets to them on time and safe! This is where you come in.
Start Date: Immediate
Salary: The salary for this role is based mainly on experience. The more you have, the better!
Shifts: 9pm – 6am, six nights per week with the exclusion of Saturdays.
What we’re looking for:
We’re looking for a hard working individual with a fine eye for detail. Prior experience in this field is required and a small test will be given to ensure you have a good understanding of fruit and veg. A driving license is preferred, but not essential.
(Red bull drinker also preferred, but not essential!)
Responsibilities
– Picking and packing from a pre-made sheet for our wholesale customers. These deliveries also go to restaurants, deli’s etc.
– Be time efficient and precise
– Maintain a superb work ethic
– Have a delicate hand when manoeuvring fragile items
– Able to work well both in a team as well as on your own
